Barbara Gordon was the daughter of Commissioner James Gordon and eventually joined the Bat-Family, becoming the vigilante known as Batgirl in Gotham City.
Biography[]
Batman: Bad Blood[]
At the end of the film, Batgirl observed as Batman and his allies launched their chase and fired her own grappling gun to join the Bat-Family in pursuit of the Penguin.[1]
Batman: Hush[]
Batgirl appeared after Batman fell when his grapple line was snapped by Hush. She ended up fighting Catwoman, believing that she was a threat.
Justice League Dark: Apokolips War[]
Two years after the immense defeat of the Justice League, deaths of the Teen Titans, and the beginning of Darkseid's tyranny over Earth, Batgirl briefly appeared as part of a group tasked with destroying one of the Reaper devices attached to the Earth's core, alongside Batwing, Batwoman and Black Orchid. Despite the heroes' valiant efforts, Batgirl was eventually overwhelmed by the Paradooms, genetic hybrids of Parademons and Doomsday, and was violently eaten alive.
Physical appearance[]
Barbara has light skin, long wavy red hair and green eyes. She has a slender and fairly muscular build.
As Batgirl, she wears a form-fitting, dark purple costume with a yellow bat symbol on her chest, black cape, and yellow gloves and boots. She wears a mask the covers half of her head and leaves the mouth and nose unmasked. She also wears a yellow pouch on her belt around her right thigh.
Abilities[]
- Advanced Combatant: Batgirl was able to swiftly take down three street thugs in quick succession and was able to briefly hold her own against the more skilled and experienced Catwoman.

- Her look is based on her 2014 New 52 redesign by Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr, later used in Rebirth.
- She’s the second youngest member in the Bat Family (the youngest being Damian)
- It’s unknown when she joined the team but was before Batman: Hush.
- In the DC comics, Barbara Gordon is the love interest of Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, however in DC Animated Movie Universe, Dick is dating Koriand'r AKA Starfire.
