S.T.A.R. Labs (Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Labs) is a research facility located in Metropolis.

History[]

Invasion of Earth[]

S.T.A.R. Labs is directed at this point by Silas Stone who contacts Barry Allen after he brought him a "Mother Box" for analysis and study a few days before as The Flash. During an argument between Silas & Victor the Mother Box began to activate, however as it activated creating a Boom Tube Victor grabbed the device which caused extensive damage to his body and destroying the Mother Box. As the invasion of Earth began Darkseid sent his Parademons to attack S.T.A.R. Labs which destroyed several parts of the building. Three of it's employees, Silas Stone, Thomas Morrow, and Sarah Charles, narrowly escaped by entering the "Red Room" with the severally injured Victor Stone.[1]

Throne of Atlantis[]

The Justice League's new base of operations was under construction within S.T.A.R. Labs. By the conclusion of the battle with Ocean Master the headquarters had been fully constructed.

Justice League Vs. Teen Titans[]

The League's base by this point had been moved to the newly constructed Hall of Justice, although they still made use of the scientific facilities.

The Death of Superman[]

At some point Superman brought the ship that carried to Earth to be examined by Silas Stone and his staff. They discovered an on board artificial intelligence known as the Eradicator who's duty it was to protect Kryptons history and culture as well as to educate Kal-El during his journey. A sort of on board "Nanny".

Following Superman's death, the ship began to shake within the lab and powered up launching through the ceiling to the shock of all staff present. Eventually landing in the Arctic Circle burrowing into the ice and creating the Kryptonian structure, the Fortress of Solitude.
